    1. Security
    2. stable, predictable IT environment
    3. load and capacity monitoring and reporting
  2. Effective use of capital
    1. reduce operating cost
    2. reduced capital investment in IT
    3. scalability

Processing Module

Managed services are provided by one or more Processing Modules (PMs), installed at the client site or hosted at Micro-line.

Typically PMs are installed in a redundant pair, each PM runs hot and is capable of assuming the full processing load should a failure occur.

All single point failures and some multi-point failures are handled by this architecture.

Most failure modes are transparent to the client application, however a client application must be preapred to switch to another PM should the PM to which it is connected to fail.
